ENGLISH LANGUAGE
English language is a International language British ruled India more than 200 years. Their language was English. Then it was official and communicative language. Impression of this language is continued even today. Now a days English language has become very essential and necessary communicative medium in the whole world. It is hard to imagine the world without the English language. The great pontiff of Veereshwar Punyashram late param pujya Puttaraj Gavaiji with his vision stated this department. In this competitive and globalization period English is must required language. As the all know “Music is a Universal Language”. But artist should learn English to express and exhibit his art globally. Prof. G.T. Hidkimath is highly qualified heading the department. With his hard work and honesty has enhanced the department to higher level. English language is a non core subject in our college. Workshops, Interactions and seminar are conducted regularly.
HINDI LANGUAGE
Hindi language is a non core subject in our college. Great writers, poets, dramatists, lyrists with their extraordinary contribution in Hindi elevated Indian culture to higher levels. Many north Indian saints, Sadhus and Sants written bhjans in hindi only. With its attractive tone and sonorous sound hindi is very popular language in India. The contribution of the Hindi film music is really remarkable. Many music books have been written in hindi. Most of the classical music compositions are in hindi. We are very proud to say that our founder late Pontiff Parampujya Dr. Puttaraj Gavaiji written “Basava Puran” in hindi language and honoured by first president of India Sri. Rajendra Prasad. Most of the times musicians conclude their recital with hindi bhajans. Artists must know and learn the hindi language. Without hindi language it is very difficult to understand the meaning of the cheese or Bandishes. Prof. N.M. Shaik (M.A. and SLET) is highly qualified heading the department. With his deep knowledge and effective teaching has enhanced the department. Every year the result is almost 100% in B. Music examination. Workshops, Interactions and seminar are conducted regularly.
KANNADA LANGUAGE
Kannada language is our state language it is very beautiful, elegant, fluent and also meaningful language. According to Linguist kannada language is heart touching and very emotional language. Contributions of Shrivijay, Pampa, Rann, Harihar Raghavanka and also Dasas and Sharanas are highly remarkable. Kannada language has brought 8 Jnana Peetha awards. Kannada literature is a very rich. Thousands of Poets, Dramatis, Critics, Playwriters, Short story writers enriched kannada language. Their contributions are unforgettable. There are many varieties of Folk songs our state. Hundred years back Kannada Ranga Bhoomi was very famous because of Kannada Rangageethegalu. Our founder and late Pontiff Param Pujya Pandit Puttaraj Kavi Gavaigalu has written more than hundred books in Kannada, which are very popular. Our college is situated in semi urban area most of the students who seeks the admission in our college are from rural background. Naturally they are interested in learning Kannada language in degree level. Kannada is non-core subject in our college. Prof. V.M. Gurumath highly qualified, heading the department of Kannada. He is very good writer, critic, orator and also poet. With his deep knowledge and creative skills elevated the department to the greater levels. Workshops, Interactions and seminar are conducted regularly.
SANSKRIT LANGUAGE
Sanskrit language is one of the oldest language of India. The historicity of this language starts from almost 5000 years. Many of our epics and traditional books have written in this language. Contributions of Kalidas, Banabhatta, Bhasakavi and Dindima are really unforgettable. In olden days Sanskrit language was very famous and popular in India. The founder and great pontiff late Pandit Puttaraj Gavaigalu has written 14 books in Sanskrit. Sanskrit is non core subject in our college. Dr Smt Sakshi. M. Menasinakai, higly qualified, heading the department. She has published many National and International articles. She is very good writer, orator, critic and poetess. With her dedication and complete involvement enhanced the department. Workshops, Interactions and seminar are conducted regularly.
