SATH SANGAT

“Geetam, Vadyam, Nrutyam, Iti Sangeetham Mucchate”

          This is very oldest and accurate definition of Music. Without Sath Sangat (accompaniment) music is in complete. Music becomes very beautiful and heart touching, when it sung with different instruments. We cannot imagine the music without accompaniment.

          Government of Karnatak has given permission to our PGAS Samiti to take accompanist on regular and permanent basis. In most of the music department government has not given permission for this type posts. We proud to have full pledged Tabala and Harmonium accompanist in our institution. With sath sangat music is more effective, impressive, appealing and emotional.

Sri. Sharankumar Kalaburgi (Guttaragi): He is a direct disciple of late great pontiff Paramapujya Dr. Puttaraj Gavaigalu and Sri. Shivakumar Kukanoor. Sharankumar is highly qualified and graded artist of Doordarshan and Akashvani. He is a National artists of high caliber. His achievements in this field speak themselves.

Sri. Y.R. Mulimani (Guttaragi): He is a direct disciple of late Pandit Dodda Basappa Hugar and Late Pandit Basavaraj Bendigeri who was one of the very famous and great Tabala player and has given accompaniment to many starwarts of the country. Sri. Y.R. Mulmani highly qualified Tabala player. With extraordinary talent, he plays some of the very rare peshkar, Kayada and Chakradargats.

Sri. S.K. Pulare: He is a direct disciple of late great pontiff Paramapujya Dr. Puttaraj Gavaigalu and Sri. Shivappa Mastar. He is highly qualified Tabala player. He plays tabala with his deep knowledge and talent. He maintains the purity and Gharandhar style.   

Sri. G.G. Sutar: He is a direct disciple of late Pandit Dodda Basappa Hugar. He is highly qualified Tabala player. He plays tabala with through knowledge and talent. He maintains the traditional art of tabala.

Sri. V. K. Joshi: He is a direct disciple of late Pandit Suraj Purandare. He is highly qualified Tabala player. He plays tabala with dedication. He maintains artistic skill with soft touch.

Sri. V. M. Pattadakall: He is a direct disciple of late great pontiff Paramapujya Dr. Puttaraj Gavaigalu who was great musician and very famous harmonium player. Virupaksh Pattadkall maintains purity and tradition of Harmonium even today. He is highly qualified Harmonium player. His accompaniment is very sober and soothing. His very good in Vocal also..
